Latin name: Jasminum sambac
Also know as:  Jasmine, Arabian jasmine, Sambac jasmine, sampaguita, melati putih, mali la, mali son, Mòlì huā

Origin: Indonesia
Supplier-ID: AB-2812X

Jasminum sambac is classified under the genus Jasminum under the tribe Jasmineae. It belongs to the olive family Oleaceae.

The English common name of “Arabian jasmine”, Jasminum sambac is due to it being widely cultivated in Southwest of Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Oman. Early Chinese records of the plant points to the origin of Jasminum sambac as eastern South Asia and Southeast Asia. Jasminum sambac (and nine other species of the genus) were spread into Arabia and Persia by man, where they were cultivated in gardens.

Our Jasminum sambac is carefully hand-picked and skillfully dried into these jasmine buds and are crafted to retain their inherent beauty, fragrance, and wellness benefits. For centuries, jasmine has been revered in traditional medicine and aromatherapy for its multitude of health advantages.

These jasmine buds boast a bounty of antioxidants, including polyphenols and flavonoids, renowned for their potential to combat oxidative stress and inflammation within the body. Moreover, jasmine buds are renowned for their soothing properties, enabling anxiety reduction, relaxation promotion, and enhancement of sleep quality. The aromatic allure of jasmine also possesses the power to uplift your spirits and create an ambiance of tranquility and romance.

Ideal for blending with green, black, or herbal teas, jasmine buds effortlessly infuse their enchanting essence. Additionally, they can be utilized in floral baths, potpourri, sachets, or employed as an exquisite garnish for cakes, salads, and cocktails. These versatile and aromatic jasmine buds serve as a delightful addition to any recipe, infusing dishes with a touch of refinement and sophistication.

Note: Many online sellers label their ‘Jasmine Flowers’ incorrectly ‘Jasminum officinale’. Jasminum officinale has a completely different flower which doesn’t produce these flower buds when dried.
